Sura At-Takaathur

Ayah: 1

أَلۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ
El afán de tener más y más los domina
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 2

حَتَّىٰ زُرۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَقَابِرَ
hasta que la muerte los sorprenda y entren en la tumba.

Ayah: 3

كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ
¡No deberían comportarse así! Ya se van a enterar [que obrar para la otra vida es superior].

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ
Una vez más: ¡No deberían comportarse así! Ya se van a enterar [que obrar para la otra vida es superior].

كَلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عِلۡمَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ
Si hubieran sabido con certeza [el castigo de quienes consumen su vida en el afán de tener más y más, habrían cambiado el rumbo de sus vidas].

لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ
Habrán de ver el fuego del Infierno,

ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيۡنَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ
y lo verán con los ojos de la certeza.

ثُمَّ لَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ يَوۡمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
Luego, ese día [del Juicio] se les preguntará por cada bendición que recibieron [durante la vida mundanal].
