سورة الصف - As-Saff
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لِمَ تَقُولُونَ مَا لَا تَفۡعَلُونَ
1. Muhammad (ﷺ), God's messenger said: “A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and will be cast into Hell, and his intestines will pour forth and he will go round them as a donkey goes round a millstone. The inmates of Hell will gather round him and say: ‘What has happened to you, O so-and-so? Were you not enjoining us to do good and forbidding us to do evil?’ He will reply: ‘I was enjoining you to do good, but was not doing it myself; and I was forbidding you to do evil, but was doing it myself.'”
التفاسير العربية:
كَبُرَ مَقۡتًا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ أَن تَقُولُواْ مَا لَا تَفۡعَلُونَ
التفاسير العربية:
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُقَٰتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِهِۦ صَفّٗا كَأَنَّهُم بُنۡيَٰنٞ مَّرۡصُوصٞ
التفاسير العربية:
وَإِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوۡمِهِۦ يَٰقَوۡمِ لِمَ تُؤۡذُونَنِي وَقَد تَّعۡلَمُونَ أَنِّي رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ إِلَيۡكُمۡۖ فَلَمَّا زَاغُوٓاْ أَزَاغَ ٱللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ
5. Moses said to his people: "O my people, why do you hurt me while you know that I am Allah’s messenger to you?" When they deviated (from Islam), Allah made their hearts deviate. Allah does not guide the rebellious people (against God).
التفاسير العربية:
وَإِذۡ قَالَ عِيسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ يَٰبَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ إِنِّي رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ إِلَيۡكُم مُّصَدِّقٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ وَمُبَشِّرَۢا بِرَسُولٖ يَأۡتِي مِنۢ بَعۡدِي ٱسۡمُهُۥٓ أَحۡمَدُۖ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ قَالُواْ هَٰذَا سِحۡرٞ مُّبِينٞ
6. Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O children of Israel, I am the Messenger of Allah to you², confirming that which is before me of the Torah and giving the good news of a Messenger who will come after me, his name being Ahmad³." but when he came to them with clear Proofs they said: "This is clear sorcery⁴."
2. If you declare with your mouth, “that there is no God worthy of worship except Allah, and that Mohammad is God's servant and messenger, and that Jesus is God's servant and messenger” and sincerely believe that in your heart, you will be saved from the Hellfire and admitted to heaven (Paradise).
3. I.e., Muhammad, which means the much-praised, the Parakletos.
4. Realizing Jesus worked something miraculous, the religious leaders had to attribute his power to something and somewhere. They chose to accuse Jesus of being demonically controlled by the demons. Jesus, on the other hand, stated His power is from Allah, the Creator of all beings. The fact that these men accused Jesus of performing miracles by demonic power caused Jesus to warn them about committing the unpardonable sin, that is associating partners with Allah. He warned them of idolatry, blasphemy, and inventing lies against Allah (God).

التفاسير العربية:
وَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡكَذِبَ وَهُوَ يُدۡعَىٰٓ إِلَى ٱلۡإِسۡلَٰمِۚ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
7. Who is more unjust than he who invents a lie against Allah while being invited to Islam⁴. (Know that) Allah does not guide the unjust people.
4. Peace and total submission to God.
التفاسير العربية:
هُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَرۡسَلَ رَسُولَهُۥ بِٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ ٱلۡحَقِّ لِيُظۡهِرَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلدِّينِ كُلِّهِۦ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكُونَ
9. It is He (Allah) Who sent His messenger (Muhammad) with the guidance and the true religion, to manifest it over all other (false) religions, even though the pagans may dislike it.
التفاسير العربية:
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ هَلۡ أَدُلُّكُمۡ عَلَىٰ تِجَٰرَةٖ تُنجِيكُم مِّنۡ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٖ
التفاسير العربية:
تُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَتُجَٰهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ بِأَمۡوَٰلِكُمۡ وَأَنفُسِكُمۡۚ ذَٰلِكُمۡ خَيۡرٞ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ
11. It is to believe in Allah and His messenger (Muhammad) and strive hard for Allah’s Cause with your wealth and your lives. That is better for you - if only you knew it.
التفاسير العربية:
يَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡ ذُنُوبَكُمۡ وَيُدۡخِلۡكُمۡ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ وَمَسَٰكِنَ طَيِّبَةٗ فِي جَنَّٰتِ عَدۡنٖۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ
12. Allah will forgive your sins, and admit you into gardens under which rivers flow, and goodly dwellings in Gardens of Eden - that is the great achievement;
التفاسير العربية:
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ كُونُوٓاْ أَنصَارَ ٱللَّهِ كَمَا قَالَ عِيسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ لِلۡحَوَارِيِّـۧنَ مَنۡ أَنصَارِيٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ قَالَ ٱلۡحَوَارِيُّونَ نَحۡنُ أَنصَارُ ٱللَّهِۖ فَـَٔامَنَت طَّآئِفَةٞ مِّنۢ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ وَكَفَرَت طَّآئِفَةٞۖ فَأَيَّدۡنَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ عَلَىٰ عَدُوِّهِمۡ فَأَصۡبَحُواْ ظَٰهِرِينَ
14. Believers, be helpers of Allah’s Cause, as Jesus, son of Mary, said to (his) disciples: "Who will be my helpers (for the Cause) of Allah?" The disciples said: "We are the helpers (in the cause) of Allah." So a group of the children of Israel believed in him, and another rejected him. We then supported those who believed against their enemy, and they became the uppermost.
