Ayah: 1

ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ
Smak svijeta!

مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ
Šta je Smak svijeta?

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ
i šta ti znaš o Smaku svijeta?

يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلۡفَرَاشِ ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ
Toga dana će ljudi biti kao leptiri raštrkani,

وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ
a planine kao šarena vuna iščupanā.

فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
Onaj u koga njegova djela budu teška –

فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖ
u ugodnu životu će živjeti,

وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
a onaj u koga njegova djela budu lahka –

فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٞ
boravište će mu bezdan biti.
