AL-HOUMAZAH

Ayah: 1

وَيۡلٞ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٖ لُّمَزَةٍ
Malheur à tout calomniateur diffamateur,

Ayah: 2

ٱلَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالٗا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ
qui amasse une fortune et la compte,

Ayah: 3

يَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ
pensant que sa fortune l’immortalisera.

Ayah: 4

كَلَّاۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِي ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ
Mais non ! Il sera certes, jeté dans la Hutamah [1094].
[1094] La Ḥuṭamah: littér. Qui écrase: un nom de l’Enfer.

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحُطَمَةُ
Et qui te dira ce qu’est la Hutamah ?

نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ
Le Feu attisé d’Allah.

ٱلَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ
qui monte jusqu’aux cœurs.

Il se refermera sur eux,
