AL-HOUMAZAH

Ayah: 1

وَيۡلٞ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٖ لُّمَزَةٍ
1 Malheur à tout médisant qui ne cesse de calomnier,

Ayah: 2

ٱلَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالٗا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ
2 préoccupé à amasser des richesses et à les compter,

يَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ
3 s’imaginant que sa fortune lui assurera l’immortalité.

كَلَّاۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِي ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ
4 C’est plutôt dans la Houtamah[1607] qu’il sera précipité.
[1607] L’un des noms de l’Enfer tiré de l’arabe « Hatama » qui signifie : briser, broyer, écraser.

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحُطَمَةُ
5 Mais qui pourrait bien te décrire sa réalité ?

نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ
6 C’est le feu d’Allah à tout jamais attisé,

ٱلَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ
7 pénétrant jusqu’aux cœurs des damnés

إِنَّهَا عَلَيۡهِم مُّؤۡصَدَةٞ
8 et qui se refermera sur les réprouvés,

فِي عَمَدٖ مُّمَدَّدَةِۭ
9 en d’interminables colonnes enflammées.
