Al-Masad

Ayah: 1

تَبَّتۡ يَدَآ أَبِي لَهَبٖ وَتَبَّ
Zugrunde gehen sollen die Hände Abu Lahabs, und zugrunde gehen soll er (selbst)!

مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ
Was nützt ihm sein Besitz und das, was er erworben hat?

سَيَصۡلَىٰ نَارٗا ذَاتَ لَهَبٖ
Er wird einem Feuer voller Flammen ausgesetzt sein

وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلۡحَطَبِ
und (auch) seine Frau, die Brennholzträgerin.

فِي جِيدِهَا حَبۡلٞ مِّن مَّسَدِۭ
Um ihrem Hals ist ein Strick aus Palmfasern.
