Translation of the meanings Ayah: (96) Surah: Al-Baqarah
وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمۡ أَحۡرَصَ ٱلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ حَيَوٰةٖ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشۡرَكُواْۚ يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمۡ لَوۡ يُعَمَّرُ أَلۡفَ سَنَةٖ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحۡزِحِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ أَن يُعَمَّرَۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرُۢ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُونَ
Und ganz gewiß wirst du sie als die gierigsten Menschen nach Leben finden, sogar mehr (noch) als diejenigen, die (Allah etwas) beigesellen. (Manch) einer von ihnen möchte gern tausend Jahre am Leben bleiben, aber selbst daß er am Leben bliebe, würde ihn nicht das der Strafe entrücken. Allah sieht wohl, was sie tun.
