Translation of the meanings Ayah: (27) Surah: Al-Mā’idah
وَاتْلُ عَلَیْهِمْ نَبَاَ ابْنَیْ اٰدَمَ بِالْحَقِّ ۘ— اِذْ قَرَّبَا قُرْبَانًا فَتُقُبِّلَ مِنْ اَحَدِهِمَا وَلَمْ یُتَقَبَّلْ مِنَ الْاٰخَرِ ؕ— قَالَ لَاَقْتُلَنَّكَ ؕ— قَالَ اِنَّمَا یَتَقَبَّلُ اللّٰهُ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِیْنَ ۟
तथा उन्हें आदम के दो बेटों[23] का समाचार सच्चाई के साथ सुना दो, जब उन दोनों ने कुछ क़ुर्बानी प्रस्तुत की, तो उनमें से एक की स्वीकार कर ली गई और दूसरे की स्वीकार न की गई। उस (दूसरे) ने कहा : मैं तुझे अवश्य ही क़त्ल कर दूँगा। उसने उत्तर दिया : निःसंदेह अल्लाह डरने वालों ही से स्वीकार करता है।
23. भाष्यकारों ने इन दोनों के नाम क़ाबील और हाबील बताए हैं।
