Translation of the meanings Ayah: (77) Surah: Al-Mā’idah
قُلْ یٰۤاَهْلَ الْكِتٰبِ لَا تَغْلُوْا فِیْ دِیْنِكُمْ غَیْرَ الْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوْۤا اَهْوَآءَ قَوْمٍ قَدْ ضَلُّوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ وَاَضَلُّوْا كَثِیْرًا وَّضَلُّوْا عَنْ سَوَآءِ السَّبِیْلِ ۟۠
(ऐ नबी!) कह दो : ऐ अह्ले किताब! अपने धर्म में नाहक़ अतिशयोक्ति न करो[48] और उन लोगों की इच्छाओं के पीछे न चलो, जो इससे पहले पथभ्रष्ट[49] हुए और बहुतों को पथभ्रष्ट किया और सीधे मार्ग से भटक गए।
48. "अतिशयोक्ति न करो" अर्थात ईसा अलैहिस्सलाम को प्रभु अथवा प्रभु का पुत्र न बनाओ। 49. इनसे अभिप्राय वे हो सकते हैं, जो नबियों को स्वयं प्रभु अथवा प्रभु का अंश मानते हैं।
