Suratu Al-Ma'arij

Ayah: 1

سَأَلَ سَآئِلُۢ بِعَذَابٖ وَاقِعٖ
Um interrogante pergunta por um castigo, prestes a sobrevir,
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 2

لِّلۡكَٰفِرِينَ لَيۡسَ لَهُۥ دَافِعٞ
Aos renegadores da Fé. Nada poderá detê-lo,

Ayah: 3

مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ ذِي ٱلۡمَعَارِجِ
Ele vem de Allah, Possuidor dos degraus.

Ayah: 4

تَعۡرُجُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ إِلَيۡهِ فِي يَوۡمٖ كَانَ مِقۡدَارُهُۥ خَمۡسِينَ أَلۡفَ سَنَةٖ
Os anjos e o Espírito a Ele ascendem, em um dia, cuja duração é de cinqüenta mil anos.

Ayah: 5

فَٱصۡبِرۡ صَبۡرٗا جَمِيلًا
Então, pacienta, Muhammad, com bela paciência.

Ayah: 6

إِنَّهُمۡ يَرَوۡنَهُۥ بَعِيدٗا
Por certo, eles o vêem longe,

Ayah: 7

وَنَرَىٰهُ قَرِيبٗا
E Nós o vemos próximo,

Ayah: 8

يَوۡمَ تَكُونُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ كَٱلۡمُهۡلِ
Ocorrerá, um dia, quando o céu for como o metal em fusão,

Ayah: 9

وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ
E as montanhas forem como a lã corada.

Ayah: 10

وَلَا يَسۡـَٔلُ حَمِيمٌ حَمِيمٗا
E nenhum íntimo interrogará a outro íntimo,

Ayah: 11

يُبَصَّرُونَهُمۡۚ يَوَدُّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُ لَوۡ يَفۡتَدِي مِنۡ عَذَابِ يَوۡمِئِذِۭ بِبَنِيهِ
Embora se enxerguem. O criminoso almejará resgatar-se do castigo desse dia, com o sacrifício de seus filhos,

Ayah: 12

وَصَٰحِبَتِهِۦ وَأَخِيهِ
E de sua companheira e de seu irmão,

Ayah: 13

وَفَصِيلَتِهِ ٱلَّتِي تُـٔۡوِيهِ
E de seu clã, que o abrigava,

Ayah: 14

وَمَن فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِيعٗا ثُمَّ يُنجِيهِ
E de todos que estão na terra, para, em seguida, isso o salvar.

Ayah: 15

كَلَّآۖ إِنَّهَا لَظَىٰ
Em absoluto, não se salvará. Por certo, o Inferno é uma flama.

Ayah: 16

نَزَّاعَةٗ لِّلشَّوَىٰ
Tiradora de couro cabeludo.

Ayah: 17

تَدۡعُواْ مَنۡ أَدۡبَرَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
Ele convocará quem se virou e voltou as costas,

Ayah: 18

وَجَمَعَ فَأَوۡعَىٰٓ
E juntou a riqueza e a entesourou.

Ayah: 19

۞ إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعًا
Por certo, o ser humano foi criado incoerente:

Ayah: 20

إِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ جَزُوعٗا
Aflito, quando o mal o toca;

Ayah: 21

وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلۡخَيۡرُ مَنُوعًا
E avaro, quando o bem o toca.

Ayah: 22

إِلَّا ٱلۡمُصَلِّينَ
Exceto os orantes,

Ayah: 23

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمۡ دَآئِمُونَ
Que são assíduos em suas orações,

Ayah: 24

وَٱلَّذِينَ فِيٓ أَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ حَقّٞ مَّعۡلُومٞ
E aqueles em cujas riquezas há, de direito, parte determinada

Ayah: 25

لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلۡمَحۡرُومِ
Para o mendigo e para o desprovido;

Ayah: 26

وَٱلَّذِينَ يُصَدِّقُونَ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ
E os que confirmam o Dia do Juízo,

Ayah: 27

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم مِّنۡ عَذَابِ رَبِّهِم مُّشۡفِقُونَ
E os que estão amedrontados do castigo de seu Senhor

Ayah: 28

إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّهِمۡ غَيۡرُ مَأۡمُونٖ
- Por certo, não há garantia alguma contra o castigo de seu Senhor; -

Ayah: 29

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ لِفُرُوجِهِمۡ حَٰفِظُونَ
E os que são custódios de seu sexo.

Ayah: 30

إِلَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَزۡوَٰجِهِمۡ أَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ أَيۡمَٰنُهُمۡ فَإِنَّهُمۡ غَيۡرُ مَلُومِينَ
Exceto com suas mulheres, ou com as escravas que possuem; então, por certo, não serão censurados.

Ayah: 31

فَمَنِ ٱبۡتَغَىٰ وَرَآءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡعَادُونَ
E quem busca algo, além disso, esses são os agressores -

Ayah: 32

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ لِأَمَٰنَٰتِهِمۡ وَعَهۡدِهِمۡ رَٰعُونَ
E que respeitam fielmente seus depósitos, a eles confiados, e honram seus pactos,

Ayah: 33

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِشَهَٰدَٰتِهِمۡ قَآئِمُونَ
E os que são cumpridores de seus testemunhos,
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 34

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمۡ يُحَافِظُونَ
E os que são custódios de suas orações.

Ayah: 35

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ فِي جَنَّٰتٖ مُّكۡرَمُونَ
Esses serão honrados, em Jardins.

Ayah: 36

فَمَالِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ قِبَلَكَ مُهۡطِعِينَ
Então, por que razão os que renegam a Fé correm, em tua direção, de olhos fitos em ti,

Ayah: 37

عَنِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ عِزِينَ
Dividindo-se em bandos, à direita e à esquerda?

Ayah: 38

أَيَطۡمَعُ كُلُّ ٱمۡرِيٕٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ أَن يُدۡخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيمٖ
Aspirará cada qual deles a entrar no Jardim da Delícia?

Ayah: 39

كَلَّآۖ إِنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰهُم مِّمَّا يَعۡلَمُونَ
Em absoluto, não devem aspirá-lo. Por certo, criamo-los do que eles sabem.

Ayah: 40

فَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡمَشَٰرِقِ وَٱلۡمَغَٰرِبِ إِنَّا لَقَٰدِرُونَ
Então, juro pelO Senhor dos Levantes e dos Poentes: somos Poderoso,

Ayah: 41

عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ خَيۡرٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَسۡبُوقِينَ
Para trocá-los por quem é melhor que eles, e não seremos impedidos,

Ayah: 42

فَذَرۡهُمۡ يَخُوضُواْ وَيَلۡعَبُواْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُواْ يَوۡمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ
Então, deixa-os confabular e se divertirem, até depararem seu dia, que lhes é prometido,

Ayah: 43

يَوۡمَ يَخۡرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِ سِرَاعٗا كَأَنَّهُمۡ إِلَىٰ نُصُبٖ يُوفِضُونَ
Um dia, em que sairão, com destreza, dos jazigos, como se se estivessem precipitando as pedras levantadas,

Ayah: 44

خَٰشِعَةً أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ تَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةٞۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمُ ٱلَّذِي كَانُواْ يُوعَدُونَ
Com suas vistas humildemente baixas, enquanto os cobrir uma vileza. Esse é o dia que lhes era prometido.
