AD-DUHA

Ayah: 1

وَٱلضُّحَىٰ
1. Pe ziua luminoasă

Ayah: 2

وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ
2. Şi pe noapte, când se întunecă!

Ayah: 3

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ
3. Domnul tău nu te‑a părăsit şi nu te urăşte!(2)
(2) Această sură a fost trimisă pentru a‑l linişti pe Muhammed, după întreruperea revelaţiei, un anumit timp.

Ayah: 4

وَلَلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
4. Viaţa de Apoi va fi pentru tine mai bună decât prima(3)!
(3) Decât viaţa pământească şi de aceea nu trebuie să fii mâhnit pentru ceea ce ai pierdut din ea.

Ayah: 5

وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضَىٰٓ
5. Şi Domnul tău îţi va dărui şi vei fi tu mulţumit!

Ayah: 6

أَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيمٗا فَـَٔاوَىٰ
6. Oare nu te‑a găsit El orfan şi ţi‑a dat adăpost?(4)
(4) Referiri la situaţii din viaţa lui Muhammed, căci tatăl său a murit înainte de a se naşte el, iar mama sa a murit când el avea doar şase ani. Atunci l‑a luat sub ocrotire bunicul lui, care a murit când el avea opt ani. După aceea a fost crescut de unchiul său Abu Talib, tatăl lui Ali.

Ayah: 7

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلّٗا فَهَدَىٰ
7. Nu te‑a găsit pe tine nepăsător(5) şi te‑a călăuzit?
(5) Faţă de calea cea dreaptă.

وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلٗا فَأَغۡنَىٰ
8. Nu te‑a găsit pe tine sărman şi te‑a făcut bogat?

فَأَمَّا ٱلۡيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡ
9. Cât despre orfan, pe el nu‑l oprima!

وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡ
10. Cât despre cel care cere, pe el nu‑l alunga!

وَأَمَّا بِنِعۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثۡ
11. Iar cât despre îndurarea Domnului tău, despre ea vorbeşte(6)!
(6) Aducându‑I mulţumire lui Allah.
