Sura Ash-Sharh

Ayah: 1

أَلَمۡ نَشۡرَحۡ لَكَ صَدۡرَكَ
1. ¿Acaso no hemos abierto tu corazón[1159]
[1159] Puede significar que Al-lah lo preparó para su misión como Mensajero Suyo iluminándolo con la fe y la sabiduría. También puede tener un significado más literal, pues, según recogen algunos hadices o dichos del Profeta —que Al-lah lo bendiga y le dé la paz—, cuando él era un niño, el ángel Gabriel le abrió el pecho y limpió su corazón de cualquier posible pecado.

وَوَضَعۡنَا عَنكَ وِزۡرَكَ
2. y te hemos librado de la carga (de tus faltas pasadas y futuras perdonándolas),

3. las cuales pesaban sobre tu espalda?

وَرَفَعۡنَا لَكَ ذِكۡرَكَ
4. Y te hemos enaltecido en esta vida y en la otra[1160].
[1160] Pues cada vez que el creyente pronuncia la shahada (el testimonio de fe o la doble declaración de fe: “Atestiguo que no existe ninguna divinidad verdadera con derecho a ser adorada excepto Al-lah, y atestiguo que Muhammad es el Mensajero de Al-lah”), ya sea en sus rezos o fuera de ellos, menciona el nombre del Profeta —que Al-lah lo bendiga y le dé la paz— junto con el de Al-lah.

فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرًا
5. Ciertamente, en toda dificultad hay un alivio.

6. Sí, ciertamente, en toda dificultad hay un alivio.

فَإِذَا فَرَغۡتَ فَٱنصَبۡ
7. Y cuando acabes (tus quehaceres cotidianos), dedícate a adorar (a Al-lah)[1161]
[1161] También puede interpretarse: “Y cuando acabes (de rezar) implora (a Al-lah)”.

وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرۡغَب
8. y suplica a tu Señor (anhelando el Paraíso y temiendo el fuego del Infierno, dirigiéndote a Él en todos tus asuntos).
