Sûretu'l-Humezeh

Ayah: 1

وَيۡلٞ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٖ لُّمَزَةٍ
Arkadan çekiştirmeyi, yüze karşı eğlenmeyi âdet edinen herkesin vay haline!

Ayah: 2

ٱلَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالٗا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ
O ki, mal toplamış ve onu sayıp durmuştur.

يَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ
(O), malının kendisini ebedi kılacağını zanneder.

كَلَّاۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِي ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ
Hayır! Andolsun ki o, Hutame'ye atılacaktır.

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحُطَمَةُ
Hutame'nin ne olduğunu bilir misin?

نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ
Allah'ın, tutuşturulmuş, ateşidir.

ٱلَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ
(Yandıkça) tırmanıp kalplerin ta üstüne çıkan

إِنَّهَا عَلَيۡهِم مُّؤۡصَدَةٞ
ve o vaziyette o (ateş) üzerlerine kapatılmıştır.
