Ayah: 1

إِذَا زُلۡزِلَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ زِلۡزَالَهَا
Nígbà tí wọ́n bá mi ilẹ̀ tìtì ní ìmìtìtì rẹ̀,
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 2

وَأَخۡرَجَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ أَثۡقَالَهَا
àti (nígbà) tí ilẹ̀ bá tú àwọn ẹrù tó wúwo nínú rẹ̀ jáde,

وَقَالَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا لَهَا
ènìyàn yó sì wí pé: “Kí l’ó mú un?”

يَوۡمَئِذٖ تُحَدِّثُ أَخۡبَارَهَا
Ní ọjọ́ yẹn ni (ilẹ̀) yóò sọ̀rọ̀ nípa àwọn ìró rẹ̀ (tí ẹ̀dá gbé orí ilẹ̀ ṣe).

بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوۡحَىٰ لَهَا
Nítorí pé dájúdájú Olúwa rẹ l’Ó fún un ní àṣẹ (láti sọ̀rọ̀).

يَوۡمَئِذٖ يَصۡدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشۡتَاتٗا لِّيُرَوۡاْ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ
Ní ọjọ́ yẹn, àwọn ènìyàn yóò máa gba ọ̀nà ọ̀tọ̀ọ̀tọ̀ lọ nítorí kí wọ́n lè fi àwọn iṣẹ́ wọn hàn wọ́n.

فَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيۡرٗا يَرَهُۥ
Nítorí náà, ẹni tí ó bá ṣe iṣẹ́ rere ní òdíwọ̀n ọmọ iná-igún, ó máa rí i.

وَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٖ شَرّٗا يَرَهُۥ
Ẹni tí ó bá sì ṣe iṣẹ́ aburú ní òdíwọ̀n ọmọ iná-igún, ó máa rí i.¹
1. Ẹ wo ìtọsẹ̀-ọ̀rọ̀ sūrah al-Wāƙi‘ah; 56:7.
