45. Oh Prophet, We have sent you being a witness, bearer of good news and warner23,
23. God sent Prophet Muhammad to the world – a world of oppression, injustice, and war. It was a world where hope seemed in desperately short supply. Muhammad’s mission was to take the people from the darknesses to the light, to bring mankind out of worship of mankind to the worship of Almighty God, from the narrowness of the world to its expanse, and from the oppression of false religions to the justice of Islam, the true religion of God. Muhammad in His preaching on earth, He outlined His mandate – “to preach the Truth and establish Justice, to proclaim real freedom for the mankind, to teach the ignorant, direct the blind, to cure the sick and to release the oppressed. The Prophet Muhammad was sent to give people an understanding of the Kingdom of God and the eternal salvation through following him. The Prophet Muhammad particularly delighted in doing this among the impoverished, the weak, the hurting, and the rejected in society. Muhammad not only preached the Truth and Justice through His words, but He powerfully demonstrated through His actions. Throughout the Qur’an we see God’s compassion and concern for those in need. He constantly commanded Muslims to extend help to those around them, and feel the strength of God’s command to “learn to do right and just. Muhammad came to spread peace and love, and put into a right relationship between all the people – and bring in a kingdom of righteousness, peace and justice. As Muslims, we are commanded to show God’s love and compassion to every one. We are called to be His hands and feet in a hurting world. And this is not optional. It is a responsibility with which we are entrusted and are expected to fulfil.
