۞ إِذۡ تُصۡعِدُونَ وَلَا تَلۡوُۥنَ عَلَىٰٓ أَحَدٖ وَٱلرَّسُولُ يَدۡعُوكُمۡ فِيٓ أُخۡرَىٰكُمۡ فَأَثَٰبَكُمۡ غَمَّۢا بِغَمّٖ لِّكَيۡلَا تَحۡزَنُواْ عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمۡ وَلَا مَآ أَصَٰبَكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ خَبِيرُۢ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ
153. When you were fleeing without even casting a side glance at anyone, while the Messenger was calling you from your rear, so Allāh rewarded your disobedience to suffer distress [55] upon distress [56] to make you forget your grief for what you missed (of booty) or befell you (of injury and death), for Allāh is All-Aware of what you do.
[55]. Such as the possibility of your town being destroyed by the victorious army and the loss of your fighting companions.
[56]. The rumor of the death of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ .
