ߞߘߐ ߟߎ߬ ߘߟߊߡߌ߬ߘߊ߬ߟߌ ߝߐߘߊ ߘߏ߫ ߡߊ߬ߓߊߕߏ - ߊ߲߬ߞߌ߬ߟߋ߬ߞߊ߲ ߘߟߊߡߌߘߊ - ߊ߳ߺߊߓߑߘߎ߫ ߊ.ߟߟߊ߯ߤߌ߫ ߤ߭ߛߊߣߎ߲߫ ߦߊ߰ߞߎߓߊ߫ - ߞߎ߬ߙߣߊ߬ ߞߟߊߒߞߋ ߔߘߋߞߎ

Al-Hajj

1 : 22

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمۡۚ إِنَّ زَلۡزَلَةَ ٱلسَّاعَةِ شَيۡءٌ عَظِيمٞ

1. O people, fear (Allāh) your Lord (and shun evil). Indeed, the earthquake of the Hour (of Doom) is a terrible thing.

2 : 22

يَوۡمَ تَرَوۡنَهَا تَذۡهَلُ كُلُّ مُرۡضِعَةٍ عَمَّآ أَرۡضَعَتۡ وَتَضَعُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمۡلٍ حَمۡلَهَا وَتَرَى ٱلنَّاسَ سُكَٰرَىٰ وَمَا هُم بِسُكَٰرَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّ عَذَابَ ٱللَّهِ شَدِيدٞ

2. On the Day you see it, every breast-feeding mother will be distracted (of the baby) that she was breastfeeding, and every pregnant woman will deliver her pregnancy. You will see the people 'as' intoxicated, and yet they are not intoxicated, but the torment of Allāh is severe.

3 : 22

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَٰدِلُ فِي ٱللَّهِ بِغَيۡرِ عِلۡمٖ وَيَتَّبِعُ كُلَّ شَيۡطَٰنٖ مَّرِيدٖ

3. Among the people, there is he who disputes about Allāh without knowledge and follows every rebellious devil;

4 : 22

كُتِبَ عَلَيۡهِ أَنَّهُۥ مَن تَوَلَّاهُ فَأَنَّهُۥ يُضِلُّهُۥ وَيَهۡدِيهِ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ

4. It is decreed for him (the devil) that whoever allies himself with him, he will misguide him and lead him to the torment of the blazing flame.

5 : 22

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمۡ فِي رَيۡبٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡبَعۡثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰكُم مِّن تُرَابٖ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطۡفَةٖ ثُمَّ مِنۡ عَلَقَةٖ ثُمَّ مِن مُّضۡغَةٖ مُّخَلَّقَةٖ وَغَيۡرِ مُخَلَّقَةٖ لِّنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمۡۚ وَنُقِرُّ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡحَامِ مَا نَشَآءُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ مُّسَمّٗى ثُمَّ نُخۡرِجُكُمۡ طِفۡلٗا ثُمَّ لِتَبۡلُغُوٓاْ أَشُدَّكُمۡۖ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرۡذَلِ ٱلۡعُمُرِ لِكَيۡلَا يَعۡلَمَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ عِلۡمٖ شَيۡـٔٗاۚ وَتَرَى ٱلۡأَرۡضَ هَامِدَةٗ فَإِذَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهَا ٱلۡمَآءَ ٱهۡتَزَّتۡ وَرَبَتۡ وَأَنۢبَتَتۡ مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجِۭ بَهِيجٖ

5. O people, if you are in doubt about the Resurrection, then (you must know) that We (Allāh) surely created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, then from a little lump of flesh - formed or unformed - that We may make clear to you ^[1]. And We cause to remain in the wombs what We will for an appointed time, then We bring you forth as a child, then (We develop you) so you may attain your maturity. And among you (is he) who dies, and among you (is he) who is returned to the most abject age, so that after having knowledge he does not know a thing. You see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it water, it stirs and swells, and produce every type of pleasant plant.

[1]. The origin of your creation, and Our ability and that Resurrection is not difficult for us than your creation.

6 : 22

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَأَنَّهُۥ يُحۡيِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَأَنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ

6. That is because Allāh (alone) is the Absolute Truth, and that He surely gives life to the dead, and He has full Power over all things.

7 : 22

وَأَنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِيَةٞ لَّا رَيۡبَ فِيهَا وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبۡعَثُ مَن فِي ٱلۡقُبُورِ

7. And that the Hour (of Doom) is coming, no doubt about it; and that Allāh will resurrect all those in the graves.

8 : 22

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَٰدِلُ فِي ٱللَّهِ بِغَيۡرِ عِلۡمٖ وَلَا هُدٗى وَلَا كِتَٰبٖ مُّنِيرٖ

8. Yet among the people there is he who disputes about Allāh without knowledge or guidance or an enlightening scripture.

9 : 22

ثَانِيَ عِطۡفِهِۦ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِۖ لَهُۥ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا خِزۡيٞۖ وَنُذِيقُهُۥ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ عَذَابَ ٱلۡحَرِيقِ

9. Twisting his neck (in pride) ^[2] that he may lead 'others' astray from the Way of Allāh. For him is disgrace in this world, and on the Day of Resurrection We shall make him taste the torment of the burning Fire.

[2]. The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said: "Whosoever has pride in his heart equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant) shall not enter Paradise." A person (amongst the audience) asked, "A person loves that his dress should be beautiful, and his shoes should be beautiful." The Prophet then remarked, "Allâh is the Most Beautiful and He loves beauty. Pride is to disregard the truth of Islam, and to scorn the people."

10 : 22

ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتۡ يَدَاكَ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَيۡسَ بِظَلَّٰمٖ لِّلۡعَبِيدِ

10. (He will be told), "that is because of what your two hands have sent forth (of sins). And that Allāh is never unjust to 'His' slaves."

11 : 22

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَعۡبُدُ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ حَرۡفٖۖ فَإِنۡ أَصَابَهُۥ خَيۡرٌ ٱطۡمَأَنَّ بِهِۦۖ وَإِنۡ أَصَابَتۡهُ فِتۡنَةٌ ٱنقَلَبَ عَلَىٰ وَجۡهِهِۦ خَسِرَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةَۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلۡخُسۡرَانُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ

11. Among the people, there are those who worship Allāh on an edge (in doubt). If good befalls him, he is content with it, but if a trial afflicts him he turns back headlong (to ingratitude). He loses this world as well as the Hereafter - that is the manifest loss.

12 : 22

يَدۡعُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُۥ وَمَا لَا يَنفَعُهُۥۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَٰلُ ٱلۡبَعِيدُ

12. He invokes instead of Allāh, (idols) that can neither harm nor benefit him. That is the far straying (from the right way) ^[3].

[3]. Image-worship or divine honour paid to any created object is clear idolatry and denial of the Creator. He forsook Allāh and sank into ignorance and moral corruption such as the worship of prophets, angels, jinn, saints, trees, rivers, hills, stones, etc.

13 : 22

يَدۡعُواْ لَمَن ضَرُّهُۥٓ أَقۡرَبُ مِن نَّفۡعِهِۦۚ لَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَوۡلَىٰ وَلَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡعَشِيرُ

13. He (the idolater) invokes one (i.e., demon) whose harm is nearer than his benefit. Wretched certainly is the patron and wretched is the companion.

14 : 22

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدۡخِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفۡعَلُ مَا يُرِيدُ

14. Indeed, Allāh will admit those who believe (in the Truth) and do righteous deeds to Gardens under which rivers flow. Indeed, Allāh does whatever He intends.

15 : 22

مَن كَانَ يَظُنُّ أَن لَّن يَنصُرَهُ ٱللَّهُ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ فَلۡيَمۡدُدۡ بِسَبَبٍ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ ثُمَّ لۡيَقۡطَعۡ فَلۡيَنظُرۡ هَلۡ يُذۡهِبَنَّ كَيۡدُهُۥ مَا يَغِيظُ

15. Whoever thinks that Allāh will not help him (the Prophet) in this world and in the Hereafter ^[4], he should stretch a rope to the sky, then (try to) cut (Allah‘s Revelation) off (from the prophet) and let he see whether his plot can really remove what enrages (him) ^[5].

[4]. And now he is victorious.
[5]. Let this one and others also be certain that God will inevitably support and aid His Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, whether the opponent likes it or not. God will never stop supporting His messenger Muhammad ﷺ and his religion, no matter what the deniers do.

16 : 22

وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ ءَايَٰتِۭ بَيِّنَٰتٖ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَهۡدِي مَن يُرِيدُ

16. And thus have We revealed it (this Qur’an) clear Verses and that Allāh guides whom He intends.

17 : 22

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُواْ وَٱلصَّٰبِـِٔينَ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ وَٱلۡمَجُوسَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشۡرَكُوٓاْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفۡصِلُ بَيۡنَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ شَهِيدٌ

17. Indeed, those who believe 'Muslims' ^[6], and those Judaized ^[7], Sabeans, Nazarenes 'i.e., Christians' ^[8], Zoroastrians, and those who associate (others with Allāh); indeed Allāh will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection. Surely Allāh is a Witness over all things.

[6]. Muslims believe in one God 'Allāh', who is not and has never been human. The idea of the Trinity of the Christians is just weird to a Muslim. So is the idea of original sin and salvation. These are completely rejected by Islam. In Islam, to be saved from the Hellfire you ou are supposed to believe in one God, Allāh ' and His messengers, and to live your life with righteousness and charity.
[7]. Islamic theology rejects the notion believed by the Jews such as Lot being sinful and disobeying God, David being adulterer as they claim. Also, Islamic faith holds that the Torah that Jews possess now is an altered version of a lost original copy. Also, Jews do not accept Jesus and Muhammad as prophets, while the Muslims believe in Allāh, His angels, His Scriptures, His messengers, the Last Day and the predestination.
[8]. Today's Christianity doesn’t believe in the Oneness of God and does not believe in His last messenger, the prophet Muhammad. Denying one messenger of God is just as denying all. Also, Christianity doesn’t include the laws of Islam which include: spiritual, mental, and physical behavior such as rituals: daily prayers, fasting, almsgiving, and pilgrimage. 
Prohibitions: Gambling, alcohol consumption, and the giving and receiving of interest (usury) that are prohibited in Islam and the dietary laws and other injunctions related to everyday behavior. Muslims submit only to God and His laws.

18 : 22

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَسۡجُدُۤ لَهُۥۤ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ وَٱلنُّجُومُ وَٱلۡجِبَالُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ وَٱلدَّوَآبُّ وَكَثِيرٞ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِۖ وَكَثِيرٌ حَقَّ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلۡعَذَابُۗ وَمَن يُهِنِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن مُّكۡرِمٍۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفۡعَلُ مَا يَشَآءُ۩

18. Do you not see that Allāh prostrates (and submits) to Him whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth, and the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains the trees, the living creatures and many of mankind? But there are many on whom the torment is justified. And whomever Allāh disgraces, there is none for him who can honor. Indeed, Allāh does what He wills.

19 : 22

۞ هَٰذَانِ خَصۡمَانِ ٱخۡتَصَمُواْ فِي رَبِّهِمۡۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ قُطِّعَتۡ لَهُمۡ ثِيَابٞ مِّن نَّارٖ يُصَبُّ مِن فَوۡقِ رُءُوسِهِمُ ٱلۡحَمِيمُ

19. These are two adversaries (believers and disbelievers) they have all become in dispute about their Lord (Allāh). But those who disbelieve (in the Truth), will be cut out for them garments of fire, boiling water shall be poured over their heads.

20 : 22

يُصۡهَرُ بِهِۦ مَا فِي بُطُونِهِمۡ وَٱلۡجُلُودُ

20. With it will be melted what is in their bellies as well as 'their' skins.

21 : 22

وَلَهُم مَّقَٰمِعُ مِنۡ حَدِيدٖ

21. And for (striking) them are maces of iron.

22 : 22

كُلَّمَآ أَرَادُوٓاْ أَن يَخۡرُجُواْ مِنۡهَا مِنۡ غَمٍّ أُعِيدُواْ فِيهَا وَذُوقُواْ عَذَابَ ٱلۡحَرِيقِ

22. Whenever they want to get out of it (Hell) from anguish, they will be turned back into it, and (it is said to them): "Taste the torment of the burning Fire."

23 : 22

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدۡخِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ يُحَلَّوۡنَ فِيهَا مِنۡ أَسَاوِرَ مِن ذَهَبٖ وَلُؤۡلُؤٗاۖ وَلِبَاسُهُمۡ فِيهَا حَرِيرٞ

23. Allāh will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to Gardens under which rivers flow; they will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be of silk.

24 : 22

وَهُدُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱلطَّيِّبِ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡلِ وَهُدُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلۡحَمِيدِ

24. And they have been guided to the goodly word ^[6] and guided to the Path of (Allāh) the Praiseworthy..

[6]. I.e., the Testimony of Faith, Glorifying and Praising Allāh and talking kindly and nicely to the people.

25 : 22

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡحَرَامِ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلۡنَٰهُ لِلنَّاسِ سَوَآءً ٱلۡعَٰكِفُ فِيهِ وَٱلۡبَادِۚ وَمَن يُرِدۡ فِيهِ بِإِلۡحَادِۭ بِظُلۡمٖ نُّذِقۡهُ مِنۡ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٖ

25. Indeed, those who disbelieve (in the Truth) and are hindering (people) from God’s Way and from the Sacred Mosque 'at Makkah" which We have made equal for all people, for the dweller in it and the visitor, and whoever intends in it of deviation ^[7] (or wrongdoing), We shall make him taste of a painful torment.

[7]. A deviation from the right course.

26 : 22

وَإِذۡ بَوَّأۡنَا لِإِبۡرَٰهِيمَ مَكَانَ ٱلۡبَيۡتِ أَن لَّا تُشۡرِكۡ بِي شَيۡـٔٗا وَطَهِّرۡ بَيۡتِيَ لِلطَّآئِفِينَ وَٱلۡقَآئِمِينَ وَٱلرُّكَّعِ ٱلسُّجُودِ

26. And (mention) when We appointed to Abraham the site of the (sacred) House (the Ka’bah at Makkah), saying: "Do not associate anything with Me 'in worship', and purify My house for those who visit and perform Tawaf, stand to pray and bow and prostrate themselves."

27 : 22

وَأَذِّن فِي ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلۡحَجِّ يَأۡتُوكَ رِجَالٗا وَعَلَىٰ كُلِّ ضَامِرٖ يَأۡتِينَ مِن كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٖ

27.  And call among the people the duty of Pilgrimage: They will come to you on foot and on every kind of mount, coming from every point (distant and) deep,

28 : 22

لِّيَشۡهَدُواْ مَنَٰفِعَ لَهُمۡ وَيَذۡكُرُواْ ٱسۡمَ ٱللَّهِ فِيٓ أَيَّامٖ مَّعۡلُومَٰتٍ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم مِّنۢ بَهِيمَةِ ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِۖ فَكُلُواْ مِنۡهَا وَأَطۡعِمُواْ ٱلۡبَآئِسَ ٱلۡفَقِيرَ

28. So that they may witness benefits for them and mention the Name of Allāh during the stated days (of Hajj 'Pilgrimage'" over what He has provided them of cattle. So eat of it (i.e., their meat) and feed the desperately poor.

29 : 22

ثُمَّ لۡيَقۡضُواْ تَفَثَهُمۡ وَلۡيُوفُواْ نُذُورَهُمۡ وَلۡيَطَّوَّفُواْ بِٱلۡبَيۡتِ ٱلۡعَتِيقِ

29. Then let them end their unkemptness (i.e., perform acts of shaving and cleansing), and let them fulfill their vows and circle round the Ancient House (the Ka’bah at Makkah).

30 : 22

ذَٰلِكَۖ وَمَن يُعَظِّمۡ حُرُمَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ خَيۡرٞ لَّهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦۗ وَأُحِلَّتۡ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمُ إِلَّا مَا يُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ فَٱجۡتَنِبُواْ ٱلرِّجۡسَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَوۡثَٰنِ وَٱجۡتَنِبُواْ قَوۡلَ ٱلزُّورِ

30. That, and whoever honors the Sacred ordinances of Allāh, it is best for him in the sight of his Lord 'Allāh'. And the (meat of) cattle is made lawful for you except that which is recited to you ^[8], so shun the filth of idols and shun lying speech ^[9].

[8]. Mentioned in Surah 5 Verse 3.
[9]. False statements and every word that is untrue and telling lies.

31 : 22

حُنَفَآءَ لِلَّهِ غَيۡرَ مُشۡرِكِينَ بِهِۦۚ وَمَن يُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِ فَكَأَنَّمَا خَرَّ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتَخۡطَفُهُ ٱلطَّيۡرُ أَوۡ تَهۡوِي بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِي مَكَانٖ سَحِيقٖ

31. Inclining (only) to Allāh, not associaters (anything) thereby with Him (in worship). For whoever associates others with Allāh, it is as though he had fallen from the sky, then birds snatch him away or the wind carries him off to a distant place.

32 : 22

ذَٰلِكَۖ وَمَن يُعَظِّمۡ شَعَٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِن تَقۡوَى ٱلۡقُلُوبِ

32. That, and Whoever honors the symbols set up by Allah ^[10], then this is from the piety of the hearts.

[10]. Such as the rituals of Jum'uah and Eid prayers, the call to prayer, the sacrificial animals, and the rites of the pilgrimage.

33 : 22

لَكُمۡ فِيهَا مَنَٰفِعُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ مُّسَمّٗى ثُمَّ مَحِلُّهَآ إِلَى ٱلۡبَيۡتِ ٱلۡعَتِيقِ

33. You have benefits in them (the cattle offered for sacrifices) till a fixed time, then their place (of sacrifice) is the Ancient House ^[11].

[11]. The sacred territory of the city of Makkah.

34 : 22

وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٖ جَعَلۡنَا مَنسَكٗا لِّيَذۡكُرُواْ ٱسۡمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم مِّنۢ بَهِيمَةِ ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِۗ فَإِلَٰهُكُمۡ إِلَٰهٞ وَٰحِدٞ فَلَهُۥٓ أَسۡلِمُواْۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلۡمُخۡبِتِينَ

34. For every nation We have appointed a rite of sacrifice that they may mention the Name of Allāh on what He has provided them of cattle. So your God is (only) One God (Allāh), so to Him 'alone' should you submit, and give good news to the humble.

35 : 22

ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱللَّهُ وَجِلَتۡ قُلُوبُهُمۡ وَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَصَابَهُمۡ وَٱلۡمُقِيمِي ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَمِمَّا رَزَقۡنَٰهُمۡ يُنفِقُونَ

35. Those whose hearts tremble (with love, hope, and awe) when Allāh is mentioned, and the patient ones who indure whatever afflicts them, and who establish prayer, and spend (in charity) out of what We have provided for them.

36 : 22

وَٱلۡبُدۡنَ جَعَلۡنَٰهَا لَكُم مِّن شَعَٰٓئِرِ ٱللَّهِ لَكُمۡ فِيهَا خَيۡرٞۖ فَٱذۡكُرُواْ ٱسۡمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡهَا صَوَآفَّۖ فَإِذَا وَجَبَتۡ جُنُوبُهَا فَكُلُواْ مِنۡهَا وَأَطۡعِمُواْ ٱلۡقَانِعَ وَٱلۡمُعۡتَرَّۚ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرۡنَٰهَا لَكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ

36. And the plump animals, (camels, cows, etc), We have made it for you as one of the symbols set up by Allāh; in which there is (much) good in it. So pronounce the Name of Allāh as they are lined up (for sacrifice), then when are fall down on their sides (after their slaughter) you may eat from it (their meat), and feed the (poor man who is) contented) and the beggar. Thus We subjected 'these animals' to you, that you may be grateful.

37 : 22

لَن يَنَالَ ٱللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَآؤُهَا وَلَٰكِن يَنَالُهُ ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰ مِنكُمۡۚ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرَهَا لَكُمۡ لِتُكَبِّرُواْ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَىٰكُمۡۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ

37. Never does their flesh reach Allāh, nor their blood, but it is the piety from you (your hearts) that reaches Him. Thus He has subjected (these animals) to you, that you may magnify Allāh for what He has guided you. Give good news to the good-doers.

38 : 22

۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدَٰفِعُ عَنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ خَوَّانٖ كَفُورٍ

38. Indeed, Allāh defends those who have believed ^[12]. Indeed, Allāh does not like every treacherous ungrateful.

[12]. Keeping this in mind, we must realize that our duty is to stand firm and defend the oppressed. We must educate and enlighten ourselves on current affairs, history, law, and any knowledge that makes us become effective individuals in our societies and communities, so we become the voice of the voiceless and the spokesperson for the neglected and oppressed.

39 : 22

أُذِنَ لِلَّذِينَ يُقَٰتَلُونَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ ظُلِمُواْۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ نَصۡرِهِمۡ لَقَدِيرٌ

39. Permission (to fight back) is given to those who are being fought (i.e., believers against unbelievers), because they (the believers) were unjustly (attacked). And indeed Allāh is able to give them victory;

40 : 22

ٱلَّذِينَ أُخۡرِجُواْ مِن دِيَٰرِهِم بِغَيۡرِ حَقٍّ إِلَّآ أَن يَقُولُواْ رَبُّنَا ٱللَّهُۗ وَلَوۡلَا دَفۡعُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلنَّاسَ بَعۡضَهُم بِبَعۡضٖ لَّهُدِّمَتۡ صَوَٰمِعُ وَبِيَعٞ وَصَلَوَٰتٞ وَمَسَٰجِدُ يُذۡكَرُ فِيهَا ٱسۡمُ ٱللَّهِ كَثِيرٗاۗ وَلَيَنصُرَنَّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَنصُرُهُۥٓۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَقَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ

40. Those who have been expelled from their homes without just cause except that they say: "Our Lord is Allāh." Had there not been Allah’s repelling some people by others: monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which Allah’s Name is mentioned much would have been pulled down. Allāh will surely help him who helps His Cause. Allāh is surely Strong, All-Mighty.

41 : 22

ٱلَّذِينَ إِن مَّكَّنَّٰهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَقَامُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَوُاْ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَأَمَرُواْ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَنَهَوۡاْ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنكَرِۗ وَلِلَّهِ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡأُمُورِ

41. 'They are' those who, if given power in the land by Us, keep up the prayer and pay the poor-rate and enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil. And to Allāh belongs the outcome of 'all' matters.

42 : 22

وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدۡ كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٖ وَعَادٞ وَثَمُودُ

42. And if they deny you (Muhammad), so, before them did deny the people of Noah, as well as (the tribes of) ‘Aad and Thamud.

43 : 22

وَقَوۡمُ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَقَوۡمُ لُوطٖ

43. And 'the' people of Abraham and 'the' people of Lot,

44 : 22

وَأَصۡحَٰبُ مَدۡيَنَۖ وَكُذِّبَ مُوسَىٰۖ فَأَمۡلَيۡتُ لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ ثُمَّ أَخَذۡتُهُمۡۖ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ

44. And the the companions ( inhabitants) of Midian. Moses (too) was rejected. So I granted respite for the disbelievers, then I seized them. How (terrible) then was My reproach.

45 : 22

فَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرۡيَةٍ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٞ فَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا وَبِئۡرٖ مُّعَطَّلَةٖ وَقَصۡرٖ مَّشِيدٍ

45. How many unjust towns, We have destroyed it, while it was 'persisting' in wrongdoing, so it is (now) fell down upon its trellises. 'How many' an abandoned well and a lofty palace? ^[13]

[13]. Are now abandoned and did not benefit their people in their final abode.

46 : 22

أَفَلَمۡ يَسِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَتَكُونَ لَهُمۡ قُلُوبٞ يَعۡقِلُونَ بِهَآ أَوۡ ءَاذَانٞ يَسۡمَعُونَ بِهَاۖ فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَعۡمَى ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرُ وَلَٰكِن تَعۡمَى ٱلۡقُلُوبُ ٱلَّتِي فِي ٱلصُّدُورِ

46. Have they not traveled throughout the land so that they should have hearts by which to understand, or ears by which to hear? For it is not the eyes that are blind, but blinded are the hearts within the chests.

47 : 22

وَيَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَكَ بِٱلۡعَذَابِ وَلَن يُخۡلِفَ ٱللَّهُ وَعۡدَهُۥۚ وَإِنَّ يَوۡمًا عِندَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلۡفِ سَنَةٖ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ

47. And they ask you (Muhammad) to hasten with the torment. And Allāh will never fail on His Promise. And indeed, a Day with your Lord is as a thousand years by your counting.

48 : 22

وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرۡيَةٍ أَمۡلَيۡتُ لَهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٞ ثُمَّ أَخَذۡتُهَا وَإِلَيَّ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ

48. How many unjust towns did I gave respite, then I seized it. To Me is the (final) return (of all).

49 : 22

قُلۡ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ لَكُمۡ نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞ

49. Say (Muhammad): "O mankind, I am only a plain warner to you ^[14]."

[14]. Warnings are statements or events that indicate a possible or impending problem or danger. Too often the most ignored warnings are those from Allāh and his messenger Muhammad. Allah’s warnings and His prophet Muhammad are for our benefit – to help and guide us. The Prophet Muhammad warned against polytheism, sin, and evil. He also warned the people against false and hypocritical religious people and leaders. These warnings are for our safety, issued because of Allah’s great love for us. We are supposed to avoid sin as our sin separates us from Allāh, becoming a barrier to our fellowship with Him. The Prophet Muhammad warned us about the devil and the satanic strongholds that imprison us each day that we must be aware of. He warned us against becoming materialistic or letting things become more important than Allāh. The Prophet Muhammad warned us from the false preachers who are pretending that they are religious. Look what kind of message is these persons delivering. If you feel like any part of their message isn’t aligned with Allah’s message, they are a counterfeit and you need to be aware of it. We are warned against hypocritical judgment. We will all be judged by the same measure that we use. If we can’t apply this standard to our own lives, we can’t apply this standard to others. The Prophet Muhammad also warned us from pride. We must be humble in ourselves, as Allāh opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.

50 : 22

فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُم مَّغۡفِرَةٞ وَرِزۡقٞ كَرِيمٞ

50. So those who believe and do righteous deeds, they will have forgiveness and an honorable provision (in Paradise).

51 : 22

وَٱلَّذِينَ سَعَوۡاْ فِيٓ ءَايَٰتِنَا مُعَٰجِزِينَ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ

51. But those who strive against Our verses, (seeking) to cause failure; these are the people of Hellfire.

52 : 22

وَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٖ وَلَا نَبِيٍّ إِلَّآ إِذَا تَمَنَّىٰٓ أَلۡقَى ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ فِيٓ أُمۡنِيَّتِهِۦ فَيَنسَخُ ٱللَّهُ مَا يُلۡقِي ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ ثُمَّ يُحۡكِمُ ٱللَّهُ ءَايَٰتِهِۦۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٞ

52. We did not send before you any messenger, nor prophet, but when he recited Satan cast into his recitation (some misunderstanding); but Allāh annuls that which Satan casts, then Allāh makes precise His revelations. For Allāh is All-Knowing, All-Wise,

53 : 22

لِّيَجۡعَلَ مَا يُلۡقِي ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ فِتۡنَةٗ لِّلَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٞ وَٱلۡقَاسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُمۡۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ لَفِي شِقَاقِۭ بَعِيدٖ

53. So that He may make what Satan casts a trial for those in whose hearts is a disease 'of doubt' and those whose hearts are hard ^[15]. Indeed, The unjust are surely in extreme dissension. 

[15]. From their obstinateness to the Truth of Islam.

54 : 22

وَلِيَعۡلَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡعِلۡمَ أَنَّهُ ٱلۡحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ فَيُؤۡمِنُواْ بِهِۦ فَتُخۡبِتَ لَهُۥ قُلُوبُهُمۡۗ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهَادِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ

54. So that those who have been given the 'right' knowledge may know that it is the Truth from your Lord 'Allāh' and believe in it, and so their hearts may humbly submit to it. And indeed, Allāh is certa the One Who guides those who believe to a Straight Path.

55 : 22

وَلَا يَزَالُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِي مِرۡيَةٖ مِّنۡهُ حَتَّىٰ تَأۡتِيَهُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ بَغۡتَةً أَوۡ يَأۡتِيَهُمۡ عَذَابُ يَوۡمٍ عَقِيمٍ

55. Yet those who deny 'the Truth' will not cease to be in doubt concerning it 'this Qur’an' until the Hour 'of Doom' comes upon them suddenly, or there comes upon them the torment of a barren Day ^[16]. 

[16]. After which there will be no night i.e., the Day of Resurrection.

56 : 22

ٱلۡمُلۡكُ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلَّهِ يَحۡكُمُ بَيۡنَهُمۡۚ فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فِي جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

56. The Kingdom on that Day will belong only to Allāh, He will judge between them. Those who believed and did righteous deeds will be in Gardens of Bliss.

57 : 22

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَكَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ مُّهِينٞ

57. And those who disbelieved and denied Our revelations, then those for them will be a humiliating torment.

58 : 22

وَٱلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ قُتِلُوٓاْ أَوۡ مَاتُواْ لَيَرۡزُقَنَّهُمُ ٱللَّهُ رِزۡقًا حَسَنٗاۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُوَ خَيۡرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ

58. But those who emigrated in Allah’s Way and after that were killed or died, Allāh will surely grant them a goodly provision (from Paradise). And indeed Allāh is surely the Best of providers.

59 : 22

لَيُدۡخِلَنَّهُم مُّدۡخَلٗا يَرۡضَوۡنَهُۥۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلِيمٌ حَلِيمٞ

59. He will surely admit them to an entrance (Paradise) which they will be well-pleased with. And indeed, Allāh is surely All-Knowing, Most Forbearing.

60 : 22

۞ ذَٰلِكَۖ وَمَنۡ عَاقَبَ بِمِثۡلِ مَا عُوقِبَ بِهِۦ ثُمَّ بُغِيَ عَلَيۡهِ لَيَنصُرَنَّهُ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَعَفُوٌّ غَفُورٞ

60. That, and whoever has retaliated with the like of that with which he has been punished and then is transgressed upon, indeed, Allāh will surely help him. Indeed, Allāh is surely Oft-Pardoning, All-Forgiving.

61 : 22

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُولِجُ ٱلَّيۡلَ فِي ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِي ٱلَّيۡلِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعُۢ بَصِيرٞ

61. That is because Allāh causes the night to merge into the day and the day into the night, and that Allāh is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.

62 : 22

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ هُوَ ٱلۡبَٰطِلُ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡعَلِيُّ ٱلۡكَبِيرُ

62. That is because Allāh is the absolute Truth, and whatever they invoke instead of Him - is falsehood - and Allāh is the Most High, the Most Great.

63 : 22

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَتُصۡبِحُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ مُخۡضَرَّةًۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِيرٞ

63. Do you not see that Allāh sends down water from the sky so the earth becomes green? Indeed, Allāh is Subtle, All-Aware.

64 : 22

لَّهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡغَنِيُّ ٱلۡحَمِيدُ

64. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And indeed Allāh is surely the Rich (free of all needs), Praiseworthy.

65 : 22

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱلۡفُلۡكَ تَجۡرِي فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ بِأَمۡرِهِۦ وَيُمۡسِكُ ٱلسَّمَآءَ أَن تَقَعَ عَلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِٱلنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٞ رَّحِيمٞ

65. Do you not see that Allāh has subjected to you whatever is in the earth and the ships sailing in the sea by His command? He withholds the sky from falling on the earth except by His permission. Indeed, Allāh is surely Kind, Merciful to mankind.

66 : 22

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَحۡيَاكُمۡ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمۡ ثُمَّ يُحۡيِيكُمۡۗ إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لَكَفُورٞ

66. And it is He (Allāh) Who gave you life, then He will cause you to die, then bring you back to life (again). Indeed, man (the denier) is surely ungrateful.

67 : 22

لِّكُلِّ أُمَّةٖ جَعَلۡنَا مَنسَكًا هُمۡ نَاسِكُوهُۖ فَلَا يُنَٰزِعُنَّكَ فِي ٱلۡأَمۡرِۚ وَٱدۡعُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَۖ إِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ هُدٗى مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ

67. For every nation We have appointed rites which they celebrate. So, let them not dispute with you in the matter. And call 'all' to (the Way of) your Lord. Indeed, you are surely on straight Guidance.

68 : 22

وَإِن جَٰدَلُوكَ فَقُلِ ٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ

68. And if they dispute with you, say: "Allāh knows best what you do."

69 : 22

ٱللَّهُ يَحۡكُمُ بَيۡنَكُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كُنتُمۡ فِيهِ تَخۡتَلِفُونَ

69. Allāh will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection about all that in which you differ.

70 : 22

أَلَمۡ تَعۡلَمۡ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعۡلَمُ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ فِي كِتَٰبٍۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٞ

70. Do you not know that Allāh knows whatever is in the heaven and the earth? Indeed this is in a Record. Indeed, this is easy for Allāh.

71 : 22

وَيَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَمۡ يُنَزِّلۡ بِهِۦ سُلۡطَٰنٗا وَمَا لَيۡسَ لَهُم بِهِۦ عِلۡمٞۗ وَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِن نَّصِيرٖ

71. Yet they worship besides Allāh what He has not sent down for it any Authority, and that of which they have no any (Divine) knowledge. The unjust will have no any helper.

72 : 22

وَإِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٖ تَعۡرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ٱلۡمُنكَرَۖ يَكَادُونَ يَسۡطُونَ بِٱلَّذِينَ يَتۡلُونَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتِنَاۗ قُلۡ أَفَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرّٖ مِّن ذَٰلِكُمُۚ ٱلنَّارُ وَعَدَهَا ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ

72. And when Our clear verses are recited to them you can recognize on the faces of those who disbelieve (in the Truth) disapproval; they almost spring upon those who recite to them Our verses. Say: "Shall I inform you of what is worse than that ^[17]? (It is) the Fire that Allāh has promised it for those who disbelieve. How miserable is their destination."

[17]. Than the rage you feel against the believers.

73 : 22

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٞ فَٱسۡتَمِعُواْ لَهُۥٓۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَن يَخۡلُقُواْ ذُبَابٗا وَلَوِ ٱجۡتَمَعُواْ لَهُۥۖ وَإِن يَسۡلُبۡهُمُ ٱلذُّبَابُ شَيۡـٔٗا لَّا يَسۡتَنقِذُوهُ مِنۡهُۚ ضَعُفَ ٱلطَّالِبُ وَٱلۡمَطۡلُوبُ

73. O people, an example is set forth, so listen to it 'carefully': Those whom you invoke instead of Allāh cannot create 'even' a fly, though they should all gather for it. Should the fly snatch away anything from them, they cannot rescue it back from it. So weak is the seeker (pagans), and the sought (idols).

74 : 22

مَا قَدَرُواْ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدۡرِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَقَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ

74. They have not estimated Allāh with His due estimation. Indeed, Allāh is surely All-Strong, All-Mighty.

75 : 22

ٱللَّهُ يَصۡطَفِي مِنَ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ رُسُلٗا وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعُۢ بَصِيرٞ

75. Allāh chooses of the angels Messengers and of mankind. Indeed, Allāh is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.

76 : 22

يَعۡلَمُ مَا بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُمۡۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرۡجَعُ ٱلۡأُمُورُ

76. He knows what is before them and what is behind them. To Allāh are all matters returned back (for decision).

77 : 22

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱرۡكَعُواْ وَٱسۡجُدُواْۤ وَٱعۡبُدُواْ رَبَّكُمۡ وَٱفۡعَلُواْ ٱلۡخَيۡرَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ۩

77. O believers, bow down, prostrate yourselves, worship your Lord, and do good - that you may prosper.

78 : 22

وَجَٰهِدُواْ فِي ٱللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِۦۚ هُوَ ٱجۡتَبَىٰكُمۡ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ فِي ٱلدِّينِ مِنۡ حَرَجٖۚ مِّلَّةَ أَبِيكُمۡ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَۚ هُوَ سَمَّىٰكُمُ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ مِن قَبۡلُ وَفِي هَٰذَا لِيَكُونَ ٱلرَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَتَكُونُواْ شُهَدَآءَ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِۚ فَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُواْ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱعۡتَصِمُواْ بِٱللَّهِ هُوَ مَوۡلَىٰكُمۡۖ فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡمَوۡلَىٰ وَنِعۡمَ ٱلنَّصِيرُ

78. And strive hard in (the Cause of) Allah with all the striving that is due to Him. He has chosen you and has not laid upon you in the religion (of Islam) any hardship, 'it is' the Faith 'and way of life' of your father Abraham. He 'Allāh' named you Muslims before (in previous Scriptures) and in this (Qur’an), that the messenger (Muhammad) may be a bearer of witness over you, and that you 'Muslims' may be witnesses over the people ^[18]. So be steadfast in your prayer and pay the poor-rate and hold fast to Allāh; He is your Patron, how Excellent the Patron, and how Excellent the Helper.

[18]. Once the Prophet and a few of his companions were together when the two funerals passed by. In each case, the Prophet asked who the deceased was. They named the first person and said that he was a man who loved Allāh and the Prophet, and was keen to obey Allah’s orders and to steer away from sin. They added that he was a very good and pious person with no doubt about the strength of his faith. When the second funeral went through and they named the deceased, they added that he was a man of bad manners, abusive and negligent of his religious duties. Commenting on both cases, the Prophet used the same words, “He has secured it.”
The Prophet’s companions were amazed at this. Hence they asked what was secured by both persons. The Prophet told them that the one who received their praises secured heaven, while the other of whom they were very critical secured hell.
The Prophet further said: “You (devout Muslims) are Allah’s (Jehovah’s) witnesses on earth.”
