وَحِيلَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ وَبَيۡنَ مَا يَشۡتَهُونَ كَمَا فُعِلَ بِأَشۡيَاعِهِم مِّن قَبۡلُۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ فِي شَكّٖ مُّرِيبِۭ
54. And a barrier will be placed between them and what they desire [20], as was done before with the likes of them. Indeed, they were in doubt disquieting [21].
[20]. I.e., the attainment of faith and admission into Paradise.
[21]. The Oneness of God and the life of Hereafter.
If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome Words, the Words of Allāh, and to the teachings of His messenger, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, he is proud, knowing nothing, and is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, and evil suspicions.
