ترجمة معاني آية: (159) سورة: آل عمران
فَبِمَا رَحۡمَةٖ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمۡۖ وَلَوۡ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ ٱلۡقَلۡبِ لَٱنفَضُّواْ مِنۡ حَوۡلِكَۖ فَٱعۡفُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ وَشَاوِرۡهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَمۡرِۖ فَإِذَا عَزَمۡتَ فَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
(159) By Allah’s Mercy you ˹Muhammad˺ relented[730] to them. Had you been harsh and hard-hearted[731], they would have disbanded from around you. Pardon them and pray for forgiveness for them and seek their counsel in affairs[732]. If you are resolved then put your trust in Allah[733]—Allah loves those who put their trust in Him.
[730] In the wake of the Battle of Uḥud, the Prophet (ﷺ) was, by God’s Grace, made to show leniency to the Believers who disobeyed his commands.
[731] Ghalīẓ al-qalb, lit. thick-hearted.
[732] The principle of shurā, consultation/deliberation, is a cornerstone of the Islamic community. One of the greatest traits of the Believing community is that: “...their affairs are deliberated among them...”. (42: 38)
[733] The final decision, after deliberations, is left to the leader of the community.
