Al-Insān

1 : 76

هَلۡ أَتَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡإِنسَٰنِ حِينٞ مِّنَ ٱلدَّهۡرِ لَمۡ يَكُن شَيۡـٔٗا مَّذۡكُورًا

Was there not a period of time when man was not a thing [even] mentioned^[1]?

[1] Before coming into being.

2 : 76

إِنَّا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ أَمۡشَاجٖ نَّبۡتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ سَمِيعَۢا بَصِيرًا

Indeed, We created man from a drop of mixed fluids^[2], in order to test him. So We gave him hearing and sight.

[2] A combination of male and female gametes (sperm and egg) which form the zygote after fertilization in the womb.

3 : 76

إِنَّا هَدَيۡنَٰهُ ٱلسَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرٗا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا

Indeed, We showed him the way, whether he is grateful or ungrateful.

4 : 76

إِنَّآ أَعۡتَدۡنَا لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ سَلَٰسِلَاْ وَأَغۡلَٰلٗا وَسَعِيرًا

We have surely prepared for the disbelievers chains, shackles, and a Blazing Fire.

5 : 76

إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ يَشۡرَبُونَ مِن كَأۡسٖ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا

Indeed, the righteous will drink from a cup [of wine] flavored with camphor^[3],

[3] "Kāfoor": a sweet-scent spring in Paradise.
