وَإِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا وَلَّىٰ مُسۡتَكۡبِرٗا كَأَن لَّمۡ يَسۡمَعۡهَا كَأَنَّ فِيٓ أُذُنَيۡهِ وَقۡرٗاۖ فَبَشِّرۡهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ

وإذا تُقْرأ عليه آياتنا أدبر مستكبرًا عن سماعها كأنه لم يسمعها، كأن في أذنيه صَمَمًا عن سماع الأصوات، فبشّره - أيها الرسول - بعذاب موجع ينتظره.
