فَإِمَّا تَثۡقَفَنَّهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡحَرۡبِ فَشَرِّدۡ بِهِم مَّنۡ خَلۡفَهُمۡ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَذَّكَّرُونَ

فإن واجهت هؤلاء الناقضين للعهود والمواثيق في المعركة، فأنزِلْ بهم من العذاب ما يُدْخل الرعب في قلوب الآخرين، ويشتت جموعهم; لعلهم يذّكرون، فلا يجترئون على مثل الذي أقدم عليه السابقون.
