قُل لَّوۡ كَانَ مَعَهُۥٓ ءَالِهَةٞ كَمَا يَقُولُونَ إِذٗا لَّٱبۡتَغَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ ذِي ٱلۡعَرۡشِ سَبِيلٗا

لَّابْتَغَوْا: لَطَلَبُوا.
ذِي الْعَرْشِ: صَاحِبِ العَرْشِ، وَهُوَ اللهُ تَعَالَى.
سَبِيلًا: طَريقًا لِمُغَالَبَتِهِ، أَوْ لَابْتَغَوْا طَرِيقًا إلَى اللهِ؛ بِالعِبَادَةِ.
