Ayah: 143

وَلَقَدۡ كُنتُمۡ تَمَنَّوۡنَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن تَلۡقَوۡهُ فَقَدۡ رَأَيۡتُمُوهُ وَأَنتُمۡ تَنظُرُونَ
মৃত্যুর সম্মুখীন হওয়ার আগে তোমরা তো তা কামনা করতে [১], এখনতো তোমরা তা স্বচক্ষে দেখলে।
[১] মৃত্যু বা বিপদ কামনা করা জায়েয নেই। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, “তোমরা শক্রর সাথে সাক্ষাত কামনা করো না; আল্লাহ্‌র কাছে নিরাপত্তা চাও, তবে যদি তারপরও সাক্ষাত হয়ে যায় তা হলে ধৈর্য ধারন কর এবং জেনে রাখ যে, জান্নাত তরবারীর ছায়ার নীচে।” [বুখারী ২৯৬৬, মুসলিম ১৭৪২]
