Ayah: 7

يَعۡلَمُونَ ظَٰهِرٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ هُمۡ غَٰفِلُونَ
তারা দুনিয়ার জীবনের বাহ্য দিক সম্বন্ধে অবগত, আর তারা আখিরাত সম্বন্ধে গাফিল [১]।
[১] অর্থাৎ পার্থিব জীবনের এক পিঠ তাদের নখদর্পণে। ব্যবসা কিরূপে করবে, কিসের ব্যবসা করবে, কোথা থেকে কিনবে, কোথায় বেচবে কৃষিকাজ কিভাবে করবে, কবে বীজ বপন করবে, কবে শস্য কাটবে, দালান-কোঠা কিভাবে নির্মাণ করবে, বিলাস-ব্যসনের উপকরণ কিভাবে আহরণ করবে- এসব বিষয় তারা সম্যক অবগত। [কুরতুবী; আরও দেখুন, আত-তাফসীরুস সহীহ]
