Translation of the meanings Ayah: (14) Surah: As-Sajdah
فَذُوقُواْ بِمَا نَسِيتُمۡ لِقَآءَ يَوۡمِكُمۡ هَٰذَآ إِنَّا نَسِينَٰكُمۡۖ وَذُوقُواْ عَذَابَ ٱلۡخُلۡدِ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ
কাজেই ‘শাস্তি আস্বাদন কর, কারণ তোমাদের এ দিনের সাক্ষাতের কথা তোমরা ভুলে গিয়েছিলে। আমরাও তোমাদেরকে পরিত্যাগ করলাম [১]। আর তোমরা যা আমল করতে তার জন্য তোমরা স্থায়ী শাস্তি ভোগ করতে থাক।'
[১] এখানে نسي শব্দের অর্থ পরিত্যাগ করা, ছেড়ে যাওয়া। আরবী ভাষায় এ শব্দটি ভুলে যাওয়া, ছেড়ে দেয়া এ দুটি অর্থেই ব্যবহৃত হয়। [তাবারী; কুরতুবী]
