Ayah: 16

وَقَالُواْ رَبَّنَا عَجِّل لَّنَا قِطَّنَا قَبۡلَ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡحِسَابِ

আর তারা বলে, 'হে আমাদের রব! হিসাব দিবসের আগেই আমাদের প্রাপ্য [১] আমাদেরকে শীঘ্রই দিয়ে দিন!'

[১] আসলে কাউকে পুরস্কার দানের প্রতিশ্রুতি সম্বলিত দলীল দস্তাবেজকে قط বলা হয়। কিন্তু পরে শব্দটি “অংশ” অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হতে শুরু করেছে। এখানে তা-ই বোঝানো হয়েছে। অর্থাৎ আখেরাতের শাস্তি ও প্রতিদানে আমাদের যা অংশ রয়েছে, তা এখানেই আমাদেরকে দিয়ে দিন। [তাবারী]
