Ayah: 25

إِذۡ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيۡهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗاۖ قَالَ سَلَٰمٞ قَوۡمٞ مُّنكَرُونَ

যখন তারা তার কাছে উপস্থিত হয়ে বলল, ‘সালাম’। উত্তরে তিনি বললেন, ‘সালাম’। এরা তো অপরিচিত লোক [১]।

[১] منكر শব্দের অর্থ অপরিচিত। বাক্যের অর্থ এই যে, ফেরেশতাগণ মানব আকৃতিতে আগমন করেছিল। ইবরাহীম আলাইহিস সালাম তাদেরকে চিনতে পারেননি। তাই মনে মনে বললেন, এরা তো অপরিচিত লোক। [কুরতুবী]
