Translation of the meanings Ayah: (138) Surah: Al-A‘rāf
وَجَٰوَزۡنَا بِبَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَ فَأَتَوۡاْ عَلَىٰ قَوۡمٖ يَعۡكُفُونَ عَلَىٰٓ أَصۡنَامٖ لَّهُمۡۚ قَالُواْ يَٰمُوسَى ٱجۡعَل لَّنَآ إِلَٰهٗا كَمَا لَهُمۡ ءَالِهَةٞۚ قَالَ إِنَّكُمۡ قَوۡمٞ تَجۡهَلُونَ
و بنی اسرائیل را از بحر گذراندیم، تا اینکه (در راه) بر قومی رسیدند که به عبادت بت‌های خویش مشغول بودند، گفتند: (بنی اسرائیل) ای موسی! برای ما هم معبودی مقرر کن همان طور که آنان را معبودانی هست، گفت: یقینا شما قوم نادان و جاهل هستید.
