Translation of the meanings Ayah: (14) Surah: Al-Hadīd
يُنَادُونَهُمۡ أَلَمۡ نَكُن مَّعَكُمۡۖ قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمۡ فَتَنتُمۡ أَنفُسَكُمۡ وَتَرَبَّصۡتُمۡ وَٱرۡتَبۡتُمۡ وَغَرَّتۡكُمُ ٱلۡأَمَانِيُّ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَ أَمۡرُ ٱللَّهِ وَغَرَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡغَرُورُ
14. They (the hypocrites) will call out to the believers, "Were we not with you?" They will say: "Yes, But you caused yourselves to fall into temptation, wished (misfortune) to us, doubted, and were deceived by false hopes, till the Command of Allah came, while the chief-deceiver (Satan) deceived you⁷ about Allah.
7. Be sober and practice complete abstinence from drugs, alcohol, and other addictive intoxicating substances. Be careful, because your enemy the devil, walks about, seeking whom he may deceive and mislead him and be his companion in the blazing fire.
