Translation of the meanings Ayah: (40) Surah: Ash-Shūra

Ayah: 40

وَجَزَٰٓؤُاْ سَيِّئَةٖ سَيِّئَةٞ مِّثۡلُهَاۖ فَمَنۡ عَفَا وَأَصۡلَحَ فَأَجۡرُهُۥ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
Quiconque veut se faire justice y est autorisé, mais en ripostant de manière proportionnelle à l’offense sans tomber dans l’abus. Et quiconque pardonne à celui qui l’offense, ne tient pas rigueur de son comportement et se réconcilie avec son frère, son salaire incombe à Allah.

• الصبر والشكر سببان للتوفيق للاعتبار بآيات الله.
La patience et la gratitude sont deux causes qui facilitent de tirer des enseignements des signes d’Allah.
• مكانة الشورى في الإسلام عظيمة.
La concertation jouit d’un prestige considérable dans l’Islam.
• جواز مؤاخذة الظالم بمثل ظلمه، والعفو خير من ذلك.
Il est permis de répondre de manière proportionnelle à l’offense d’un individu injuste, mais il est préférable de pardonner.
