Translation of the meanings Ayah: (172) Surah: Al-A‘rāf
وَإِذۡ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِنۢ بَنِيٓ ءَادَمَ مِن ظُهُورِهِمۡ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡ وَأَشۡهَدَهُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمۡ أَلَسۡتُ بِرَبِّكُمۡۖ قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ شَهِدۡنَآۚ أَن تَقُولُواْ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنۡ هَٰذَا غَٰفِلِينَ
172. Et quand ton Seigneur prit des reins des fils d’Adam les descendants de toute leur lignée et les fit témoigner contre eux-mêmes : « Ne suis-Je pas votre Seigneur ? » « Si, répondirent-ils, et nous en témoignons ! » Alors, au Jour de la Résurrection, vous ne direz plus : « Nous n’y avons pas été attentifs. »
