Ayah: 42

لَوۡ كَانَ عَرَضٗا قَرِيبٗا وَسَفَرٗا قَاصِدٗا لَّٱتَّبَعُوكَ وَلَٰكِنۢ بَعُدَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلشُّقَّةُۚ وَسَيَحۡلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ لَوِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡنَا لَخَرَجۡنَا مَعَكُمۡ يُهۡلِكُونَ أَنفُسَهُمۡ وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡلَمُ إِنَّهُمۡ لَكَٰذِبُونَ

42. S’il se fût agi d’un butin à portée de main ou d’un voyage (à destination) proche, ils t’auraient certainement suivi. Mais le trajet leur parut bien long. Ils jureront par Allah : « Si nous avions pu, nous serions certainement sortis avec vous. » N’est-ce pas qu’ils se perdent eux-mêmes ! Allah Sait bien qu’ils ne sont que menteurs.
