وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡغَاوُۥنَ
224 Quant aux poètes, seuls les suivent des esprits totalement égarés[985].
[985] Ce verset et ceux qui précèdent semblent être une réponse aux païens de la Mecque qui traitaient le Prophète tantôt de devin, tantôt de poète. Voir sourate 69, versets 41-42. Car si les poètes sont suivis par les égarés, le Prophète fut, quant à lui, suivi par les hommes les plus sensés.
