Ayah: 1

حمٓ
1 Hâ-Mîm.

وَٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ٱلۡمُبِينِ
2 Par le Livre parfaitement clair !

إِنَّا جَعَلۡنَٰهُ قُرۡءَٰنًا عَرَبِيّٗا لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ
3 Nous avons révélé le Livre sous forme d’une récitation en langue arabe afin que vous en compreniez la signification.

Ayah: 4

وَإِنَّهُۥ فِيٓ أُمِّ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَدَيۡنَا لَعَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ
4 Il est auprès de Nous, dans le Livre archétype, plein de majesté, de sagesse et de perfection.

Ayah: 5

أَفَنَضۡرِبُ عَنكُمُ ٱلذِّكۡرَ صَفۡحًا أَن كُنتُمۡ قَوۡمٗا مُّسۡرِفِينَ
5 Allons-Nous renoncer à vous transmettre la Révélation en raison de votre propension à la transgression ?

وَكَمۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن نَّبِيّٖ فِي ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
6 Que de prophètes avons-Nous envoyés aux premières nations !

وَمَا يَأۡتِيهِم مِّن نَّبِيٍّ إِلَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
7 Nul prophète n’est venu à elles sans qu’elles ne le tournent en dérision.

Ayah: 8

فَأَهۡلَكۡنَآ أَشَدَّ مِنۡهُم بَطۡشٗا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
8 Nous les avons alors anéanties bien que plus puissantes que celle-ci. Le sort des premiers peuples a d’ailleurs fait l’objet d’une mention[1243].

وَلَئِن سَأَلۡتَهُم مَّنۡ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
9 Si tu leur demandes qui a créé les cieux et la terre, ils répondront certainement : « C’est le Tout-Puissant, l’Omniscient qui est à l’origine de leur création. »

ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَهۡدٗا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمۡ فِيهَا سُبُلٗا لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَهۡتَدُونَ
10 C’est Lui qui, pour vous, a fait de la terre une vaste étendue traversée de routes qui vous permettent de vous déplacer et de vous diriger,
