وَمَا كَانَ صَلَاتُهُمۡ عِندَ ٱلۡبَيۡتِ إِلَّا مُكَآءٗ وَتَصۡدِيَةٗۚ فَذُوقُواْ ٱلۡعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ
35 D’autant que leurs prières autour du Sanctuaire sacré ne sont que sifflements et battements de mains[496]. « Goûtez donc le châtiment pour prix de votre impiété ! »
[496] Les païens de la Mecque effectuaient les circumambulations autour de la Kaaba en étant nus, en sifflant et en battant des mains (Tafsîr ibn Kathîr).
