AL-QADR

Ayah: 1

إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ فِي لَيۡلَةِ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ
1 Nous l’avons révélé[1596] au cours de la Nuit des décrets divins[1597].
[1596] Le Coran, dont la révélation a débuté au cours de cette nuit bénie.
[1597] Connue comme étant la « Nuit du destin » et située au mois de Ramadan. Le terme arabe « Qadr » traduit ici par « décrets divins » revêt un second sens : il signifie que cette nuit est sublime et d’une très grande valeur.

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ
2 Mais qui pourrait t’indiquer ce qu’est la Nuit des décrets divins ?

لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ أَلۡفِ شَهۡرٖ
3 La Nuit des décrets divins est plus bénie que mille mois réunis[1598].
[1598] Les œuvres accomplies lors de cette nuit sont plus méritoires que celles de mille mois.

Ayah: 4

تَنَزَّلُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمۡرٖ
4 Porteurs de tous les arrêts divins[1599], les anges et l’Esprit[1600] descendent sur ordre de leur Seigneur au cours de cette nuit.
[1599] Relatifs à l’année à venir, expliquent les commentateurs. Voir sourate 44, versets 3-5.
[1600] L’ange Gabriel, selon la majorité des exégètes.

سَلَٰمٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطۡلَعِ ٱلۡفَجۡرِ
5 C’est une nuit remplie de paix et de bénédiction jusqu’à l’apparition de l’aube.
