Translation of the meanings Ayah: (76) Surah: Al-Mu’minūn

Ayah: 76

وَلَقَدۡ أَخَذۡنَٰهُم بِٱلۡعَذَابِ فَمَا ٱسۡتَكَانُواْ لِرَبِّهِمۡ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ
Πράγματι, τους πλήξαμε (και τους δοκιμάσαμε) με την τιμωρία (δηλ. τις κακουχίες και την πείνα), αλλά δεν υποτάχθηκαν με ταπείνωση προς τον Κύριό τους, ούτε (Τον) επικαλέστηκαν με ταπείνωση (για να αφαιρέσει τις κακουχίες, παρόλο που είδαν ότι οι λεγόμενοι θεοί τους ήταν ανίκανοι να τους σώσουν)!
