Translation of the meanings Ayah: (172) Surah: Al-A‘rāf
وَإِذۡ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِنۢ بَنِيٓ ءَادَمَ مِن ظُهُورِهِمۡ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡ وَأَشۡهَدَهُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمۡ أَلَسۡتُ بِرَبِّكُمۡۖ قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ شَهِدۡنَآۚ أَن تَقُولُواْ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنۡ هَٰذَا غَٰفِلِينَ
Και (ανάφερε, ω, Μωχάμμαντ) όταν ο Κύριός σου έβγαλε από την οσφύ των παιδιών του Αδάμ τους απογόνους τους [δηλ. από την οσφύ του Αδάμ τα παιδιά του και ούτω καθεξής] και τους έκανε να μαρτυρήσουν ως απόδειξη εναντίον του εαυτού τους, (ρωτώντας τους γι' αυτό που έχει ήδη βάλει στην έμφυτη φύση τους): «Δεν είμαι ο Κύριός σας;» Είπαν: «Ναι, πράγματι, Εσύ είσαι, και μαρτυρούμε γι' αυτό.» (Το κάναμε αυτό) για να μην πείτε την Ημέρα της Ανάστασης: «Στ' αλήθεια, δεν το ξέραμε αυτό!»
