Translation of the meanings Ayah: (219) Surah: Al-Baqarah
۞ يَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلۡخَمۡرِ وَٱلۡمَيۡسِرِۖ قُلۡ فِيهِمَآ إِثۡمٞ كَبِيرٞ وَمَنَٰفِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَإِثۡمُهُمَآ أَكۡبَرُ مِن نَّفۡعِهِمَاۗ وَيَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ مَاذَا يُنفِقُونَۖ قُلِ ٱلۡعَفۡوَۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَفَكَّرُونَ
219 יש כאלה ששואלים אותך (מוחמד) אודות היין והמייסר (משחק מזל), אמור: “יש בהם חטא גדול, וגם תועלת לבני-אדם, ואולם החטא שבהם יותר גדול מהתועלת”. וישאלוך מה יתרמו (כסף לצדקה), אמור: “מה שאתם יכולים מהעודף (של כספכם). כך יבהיר אללה לכם את האותות למען תחשבו (על מה שיועיל לכם),
