قَالُوٓاْ أُوذِينَا مِن قَبۡلِ أَن تَأۡتِيَنَا وَمِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جِئۡتَنَاۚ قَالَ عَسَىٰ رَبُّكُمۡ أَن يُهۡلِكَ عَدُوَّكُمۡ وَيَسۡتَخۡلِفَكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَيَنظُرَ كَيۡفَ تَعۡمَلُونَ

129 הם אמרו, “הורע לנו לפני בואך, ואף לאחר בואך”. אמר: (משה)”ייתכן שריבונכם רוצה להשמיד את אויבכם ולהוריש לכם את הארץ, ויראה כיצד אתם מתנהגים”.
