Translation of the meanings Ayah: (155) Surah: Al-A‘rāf
وَٱخۡتَارَ مُوسَىٰ قَوۡمَهُۥ سَبۡعِينَ رَجُلٗا لِّمِيقَٰتِنَاۖ فَلَمَّآ أَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلرَّجۡفَةُ قَالَ رَبِّ لَوۡ شِئۡتَ أَهۡلَكۡتَهُم مِّن قَبۡلُ وَإِيَّٰيَۖ أَتُهۡلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ مِنَّآۖ إِنۡ هِيَ إِلَّا فِتۡنَتُكَ تُضِلُّ بِهَا مَن تَشَآءُ وَتَهۡدِي مَن تَشَآءُۖ أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا فَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا وَٱرۡحَمۡنَاۖ وَأَنتَ خَيۡرُ ٱلۡغَٰفِرِينَ
155 ובחר משה שבעים צדיקים למועד פגישתנו. וכאשר רעדה האדמה תחתיהם, אמר “ריבוני! אילו רצית היית מכחיד אותם ואותי זה כבר. התכחיד אותנו עבור מעשי השוטים שבנו? אין זה אלא מבחן מצדך, כי אתה מתעה מי שאתה רוצה ומדריך מי שאתה רוצה. אתה אדוננו, וסלח לנו ורחם עלינו, כי אתה הטוב שבסולחים.
