Translation of the meanings Ayah: (160) Surah: Al-A‘rāf
وَقَطَّعۡنَٰهُمُ ٱثۡنَتَيۡ عَشۡرَةَ أَسۡبَاطًا أُمَمٗاۚ وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱسۡتَسۡقَىٰهُ قَوۡمُهُۥٓ أَنِ ٱضۡرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلۡحَجَرَۖ فَٱنۢبَجَسَتۡ مِنۡهُ ٱثۡنَتَا عَشۡرَةَ عَيۡنٗاۖ قَدۡ عَلِمَ كُلُّ أُنَاسٖ مَّشۡرَبَهُمۡۚ وَظَلَّلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡغَمَٰمَ وَأَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡمَنَّ وَٱلسَّلۡوَىٰۖ كُلُواْ مِن طَيِّبَٰتِ مَا رَزَقۡنَٰكُمۡۚ وَمَا ظَلَمُونَا وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ يَظۡلِمُونَ
160 וחילקנו אותם לשנים עשר שבסים, אומות. והורינו למשה כאשר תבע העם מים לשתות, כי “הכה במקלך בסלע”. ואז פרצו ממנו שנים־עשר מעיינות, וכל שבט ידע את המקום אשר ממנו ישתה. הצלנו עליהם בענן והורדנו אליהם את המן והשלו. (ואמרנו), “איכלו מן הדברים הטובים שהענקנו לכם”. הם לא קיפחו אותנו, כי אם את עצמם קיפחו.
