Translation of the meanings Ayah: (172) Surah: Al-A‘rāf
وَإِذۡ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِنۢ بَنِيٓ ءَادَمَ مِن ظُهُورِهِمۡ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡ وَأَشۡهَدَهُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمۡ أَلَسۡتُ بِرَبِّكُمۡۖ قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ شَهِدۡنَآۚ أَن تَقُولُواْ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنۡ هَٰذَا غَٰفِلِينَ
172 וכאשר ריבונך נטל מבני האדם, מחלציהם, את צאצאיהם, והעיד אותם על עצמם, “הלא (מעידים כי) אני ריבונכם?” והם ענו, “אכן כן, מעידים אנו”. (כל זה עשיתי) למען שלא תאמרו ביום תחיית-המתים, “אנו היינו מזה מוסחים ״.
