وَلَىِٕنْ اَخَّرْنَا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ اِلٰۤی اُمَّةٍ مَّعْدُوْدَةٍ لَّیَقُوْلُنَّ مَا یَحْبِسُهٗ ؕ— اَلَا یَوْمَ یَاْتِیْهِمْ لَیْسَ مَصْرُوْفًا عَنْهُمْ وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَّا كَانُوْا بِهٖ یَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ ۟۠
और यदि हम एक गिनी-चुनी अवधि तक उनसे यातना को विलंबित कर दें, तो अवश्य कहेंगे कि किस चीज़ ने उसे रोक रखा है? सुन लो! वह जिस दिन उनपर आ जाएगी, तो उनपर से टाली नहीं जाएगी। और वह (यातना) उन्हें घेर लेगी, जिसकी वे हँसी उड़ाया करते थे।
