اَلشَّهْرُ الْحَرَامُ بِالشَّهْرِ الْحَرَامِ وَالْحُرُمٰتُ قِصَاصٌ ؕ— فَمَنِ اعْتَدٰی عَلَیْكُمْ فَاعْتَدُوْا عَلَیْهِ بِمِثْلِ مَا اعْتَدٰی عَلَیْكُمْ ۪— وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاعْلَمُوْۤا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِیْنَ ۟
हुरमत वाला[113] महीना, हुरमत वाले महीने के बदले है और सब हुरमतों में क़िसास (बराबरी का बदला) है। अतः जो तुमपर ज़्यादती करे, तो तुम उसपर उसी के समान ज़्यादती करो, जैसी उसने तुमपर ज़्यादती की है तथा अल्लाह से डरो और जान लो कि अल्लाह डरने वालों के साथ है।
113. हुरमत वाले महीनों से अभिप्रेत चार अरबी महीने : ज़ुल-क़ादह, ज़ुल-हिज्जह, मुह़र्रम तथा रजब हैं। इबराहीम अलैहिस्सलाम के युग से इन मासों का आदर सम्मान होता आ रहा है। आयत का अर्थ यह है कि कोई हुरमत वाले स्थान अथवा युग में अतिक्रमण करे, तो उसे बराबरी का बदला दिया जाए।
