Translation of the meanings Ayah: (21) Surah: Al-Furqān
وَقَالَ الَّذِیْنَ لَا یَرْجُوْنَ لِقَآءَنَا لَوْلَاۤ اُنْزِلَ عَلَیْنَا الْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةُ اَوْ نَرٰی رَبَّنَا ؕ— لَقَدِ اسْتَكْبَرُوْا فِیْۤ اَنْفُسِهِمْ وَعَتَوْ عُتُوًّا كَبِیْرًا ۟
तथा उन लोगों ने कहा जो हमसे मिलने की आशा नहीं रखते : हमपर फ़रिश्ते क्यों न उतारे गए, या हम अपने रब को देखते? नि:संदेह वे अपने दिलों में बहुत बड़े बन गए तथा बड़ी सरकशी[12] पर उतर आए।
12. अर्थात ईमान लाने के लिए अपने समक्ष फ़रिश्तों के उतरने तथा अल्लाह को देखने की माँग करके।
