Ayah: 127

وَقَالَ الْمَلَاُ مِنْ قَوْمِ فِرْعَوْنَ اَتَذَرُ مُوْسٰی وَقَوْمَهٗ لِیُفْسِدُوْا فِی الْاَرْضِ وَیَذَرَكَ وَاٰلِهَتَكَ ؕ— قَالَ سَنُقَتِّلُ اَبْنَآءَهُمْ وَنَسْتَحْیٖ نِسَآءَهُمْ ۚ— وَاِنَّا فَوْقَهُمْ قٰهِرُوْنَ ۟
और फ़िरऔन की जाति के प्रमुखों ने (उससे) कहा : क्या तुम मूसा और उसकी जाति को छोड़े रखोगे कि वे देश में बिगाड़ फैलाएँ तथा तुम्हें और तुम्हारे पूज्यों[43] को छोड़ दें? उसने कहा : हम उनके बेटों को बुरी तरह क़त्ल करेंगे और उनकी स्त्रियों को जीवित रखेंगे। निश्चय हम उनपर पूर्ण नियंत्रण रखने वाले हैं।
43. कुछ भाष्यकारों ने लिखा है कि मिस्री अनेक देवताओं की पूजा करते थे, जिनमें सबसे बड़ा देवता सूर्य था, जिसे "रूअ" कहते थे। और राजा को उसी का अवतार मानते थे, और उसकी पूजा और उसके लिए सजदा करते थे, जिस प्रकार अल्लाह के लिए सजदा किया जाता है।
