Translation of the meanings Ayah: (142) Surah: Al-A‘rāf
وَوٰعَدْنَا مُوْسٰی ثَلٰثِیْنَ لَیْلَةً وَّاَتْمَمْنٰهَا بِعَشْرٍ فَتَمَّ مِیْقَاتُ رَبِّهٖۤ اَرْبَعِیْنَ لَیْلَةً ۚ— وَقَالَ مُوْسٰی لِاَخِیْهِ هٰرُوْنَ اخْلُفْنِیْ فِیْ قَوْمِیْ وَاَصْلِحْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ سَبِیْلَ الْمُفْسِدِیْنَ ۟
और हमने मूसा से तीस रातों का वादा[46] किया और उसकी पूर्ति दस रातों से कर दी। तो तेरे पालनहार की निर्धारित अवधि चालीस रातें पूरी हो गई। तथा मूसा ने अपने भाई हारून से कहा : तुम मेरी जाति में मेरा उत्तराधिकारी बनकर रहना, और सुधार करते रहना तथा उपद्रवकारियों की नीति न अपनाना।
46. अर्थात तूर पर्वत पर आकर अल्लाह की इबादत करने और धर्म विधान प्रदान करने के लिए।
