Translation of the meanings Ayah: (143) Surah: Āl-‘Imrān
وَلَقَدۡ كُنتُمۡ تَمَنَّوۡنَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن تَلۡقَوۡهُ فَقَدۡ رَأَيۡتُمُوهُ وَأَنتُمۡ تَنظُرُونَ
Desideravate, o voi credenti, incontrare i miscredenti al fine di ottenere il martirio per la causa di Allāh, così come lo ottennero i vostri fratelli in precedenza, nel giorno di Badr, prima di andare incontro alla morte a alla sua gravità, e nel giorno di Uħud avete visto con i vostri occhi proprio ciò che desideravate.

• الابتلاء سُنَّة إلهية يتميز بها المجاهدون الصادقون الصابرون من غيرهم.
La Tentazione è una Legge divina per distinguere tra chi lotta per la causa di Allāh con sincerità e pazienza dagli altri.
• يجب ألا يرتبط الجهاد في سبيل الله والدعوة إليه بأحد من البشر مهما علا قدره ومقامه.
La lotta per la causa di Allāh ed invitare ad essa non deve essere esclusiva di nessuno, nonostante i propri meriti e il proprio rango.
• أعمار الناس وآجالهم ثابتة عند الله تعالى، لا يزيدها الحرص على الحياة، ولا ينقصها الإقدام والشجاعة.
L'età della gente e il suo termine sono prestabiliti presso Allāh l'Altissimo: L'amore per la vita non la prolungherà, e l'iniziativa ed il coraggio non l'abbrevieranno.
• تختلف مقاصد الناس ونياتهم، فمنهم من يريد ثواب الله، ومنهم من يريد الدنيا، وكلٌّ سيُجازَى على نيَّته وعمله.
Gli obiettivi e le intenzioni della gente sono molteplici: Tra loro, c'è chi desidera la ricompensa di Allāh e chi desidera la vita, ed ognuno sarà ricompensato secondo le proprie intenzioni e azioni.
